Shipping Policy

Effective date: July 31, 2026

This policy explains how Red Lion Pharmacy ships prescription medications to you. It applies to every shipment we send. If anything here is unclear, call us. We can usually resolve shipping questions fastest by phone.

Shipping is one of two ways to receive your medication: you can also arrange pickup at the pharmacy, at no charge, when we contact you about your fill.

Before anything ships

We contact you before each shipment to confirm the order, the cost, and the delivery address. If we cannot reach you, we hold the shipment until we can confirm those details.

Shipping cost

Shipping is free. You never pay Red Lion Pharmacy for delivery of your medication. There is no standard shipping charge, and no delivery fee is added to your prescription cost.

Carriers and delivery

We ship with FedEx and USPS, choosing the carrier and service for each shipment based on what your medication needs, particularly when it is temperature-sensitive. We confirm the delivery address with you before every shipment, and we track every package from our door to yours.

Temperature-sensitive medications

Some specialty medications must stay within a temperature range to remain safe and effective. When your medication requires it, we use a corrugated box with foam insulation, a sealed bag, and an ice pack. We schedule delivery within the period that the packaging is designed to protect the medication. We do not schedule a medication to remain in transit longer than that protective period.

If a temperature-sensitive package arrives warm, open, or later than expected, do not use the medication until you speak with our pharmacist. Call us first. We will tell you whether it is safe to use and replace it if it is not.

If something goes wrong

Severe weather and carrier holidays can delay any shipment. When we know a delay is likely, we plan the shipment around it and tell you during the pre-shipment contact.

Returns

Federal and state pharmacy regulations generally prohibit a pharmacy from taking back and reusing dispensed prescription medication. That means we cannot accept returns of shipped medication. If we made an error, or your medication arrived damaged or unusable, that is not considered a "return." Call us and we will make it right.

Keep your address current

Tell us before your next fill if your delivery address changes. See our prescriptions page for more information about keeping your record current. We confirm the address during the pre-shipment contact, but an up-to-date record helps prevent delays.

Changes

If our shipping practices change, we update this page first. The effective date above shows when the policy was last revised.
